How did Arthritis affect your life?
I was very active in my youth. I loved being in the mountains, spending every weekend I could hiking and skiing. It wasn’t until my forties that I began to experience pain from Arthritis. Arthritis runs in my family, so when I started to suffer the effects of it, I had accepted pain as a part of aging. I thought it was normal! I was frustrated that I wasn’t able to engage in the activities I used to love, but I didn’t see an alternative to living with pain.
How did your perception of pain treatment change?
Thank god in my forties I learned about Thermotex! I had not really searched for a solution to my pain, as I didn’t think there was one to be had. But once our household obtained a platinum therapy system, life changed for me.
How has Thermotex changed your life?
I found Thermotex 20 years ago and to this day I treat my hands nightly for at least 20 minutes, all my knuckles are riddled with arthritis. It has become part of my night to sit with the warm soothing heat.
When we go on holidays and I don’t have room to take my Platinum, I can only close my hands half as much as I can when I am at home receiving regular treatment.
I watched my mother struggle with arthritis and lose a large range of the movement in her hands, so I know first hand how challenging life could be without full mobility in your hands.
I am in my sixties and still golf and work. My friends wonder how I can still be working, and not be in pain, because visually my hands look awful. My career involves lots of writing and computer work, so my hands are invaluable to me.
I honestly do not know how my life would look right now, or what my quality of life would be without having Thermotex. I feel very blessed to have this treatment option available to me so that I can work and stay active. My pain free life is all due to Thermotex and I would never want to live without it!
