ROSALEE SHARES HOW FAR INFRARED HEAT HELPS KEEP HER CHRONIC MYOFASCIAL PAIN, FIBROMYALGIA PAIN AND BACK SPASMS AT BAY – NATURALLY

We recently had the chance to connect with Rosalee, an incredible and resilient woman who has used Thermotex for more than a decade. Rosalee’s chronic pain began when she injured her back at work, further exacerbated by a physio mishap. Hear from Rosalee firsthand on why Thermotex remains an essential component of her pain management treatment plan. We are honoured to share her story, not to mention being a part of it all these years!

“A bad slip and fall accident at work injured my back and knee. During an initial physio treatment, I was instructed to lift an 80 lb weight bar on a Smith machine but couldn’t support the weight and further injured my back and neck. This led to more back spasms and I began an earnest search for pain relief.

I attended multiple clinics for physio, acupuncture, massage and chiropractor.  I also attended the Pain Clinic at the Misericordia Hospital and was told ‘examination revealed multiple trigger points in the thoracic spine, neck and lower abdomen.’ I was given a diagnosis of Myofascial Pain Syndrome and received physio along with trigger point injections for six months. Any improvement from these treatments was unfortunately very short lived, lasting a few hours or a day at the most.  Pain medications didn’t help much at all, and I couldn’t tolerate the side effects. I tried a few other products for pain and a supplement program but had no improvement. Eventually, a diagnosis of fibromyalgia was added.

One day, I happened to see the Thermotex Platinum Infrared Heating Pad for sale in a fitness store and purchased it. The recurring episodes of back spasms had become so severe I could not get up from the floor during an episode, so during the next flare of back spasms, I applied the Thermotex pad. I was amazed the Thermotex pad gave me enough relief to get off the floor, sit in a comfortable chair and eventually get the spasms to subside.

After trigger points develop in muscles from an injury, the goal is to prevent them from becoming activated and causing pain and spasms. Gentle exercise and stretching is important, but the most impactful for me in controlling trigger points and managing back spasms is definitely the Thermotex pad.

I use Thermotex’s far infrared heat on a daily basis to help keep my muscles as relaxed as possible. If I activate the trigger points doing a simple task and back spasms flare up, I immediately get on the Thermotex heat.  I own several Thermotex Platinum pads to make sure I always have one close by and a spare when I have to travel.  My partner has the Thermotex Gold pad for times when he strains a muscle or has random back pain.

For the last 11 years, Thermotex far infrared heating pads have truly been a life saver for me, and I highly recommend them to anyone with persistent muscular pain. They are fantastic products that finally gave me pain relief and a way to manage and control recurring back spasms.

As well, the customer service has always been fantastic! This is a family owned Canadian company that goes above and beyond to help their customers. Thank you Thermotex!”
