Meet Morris, A Former WHA/NHL Player Who Relieves Chronic Pain with Far Infrared Heat

We recently heard from Morris, a former professional hockey player, who struggled to manage chronic pain as a result of the game’s intense physicality – until he discovered Thermotex. Even better? “My name is Morris Lukowich, and I am a former WHA/NHL player (1976 to 1987). I played with the Houston Aeros, Winnipeg Jets, Boston Bruins and L.A. Kings. I was fortunate to play in 2 WHA and 2 NHL All-Star games. I also played hockey in Italy and Switzerland for 5 years.
Playing three years of Western Hockey League Juniors with Medicine Hat Tigers and 11 years professionally in the WHA/NHL beat up my body pretty badly. Way too many cross checks and body checks that pounded on my body! When I was 37 years old and playing hockey in Switzerland (1994), I was experiencing brutal lower back pain. The pain was so severe; it was interfering with my ability to play hockey and get a good night’s sleep. The pain eventually forced me to retire from playing the game of hockey, which I loved so much.
Upon returning to Calgary in 1994, I began to look for various treatments to get my back and neck healed up and feeling better.
I found a very good chiropractor, Dave, and he would adjust my back and neck. I would feel OK for a few hours and then the pain would be back. I was seeing Dave 4-6 times per week and even calling for a treatment on Sundays when his business was closed. The pain was brutal throughout the day and still interfered with my ability to sleep.
Being an avid athlete of many sports, I would work out by playing hockey, squash or tennis. I would stretch afterwards and feel OK for a few hours – and then the back and neck pain would come back.
Then, a small miracle happened.
My friend and former Detroit Red Wings Captain, Dennis Polonich, suggested that I reach out to Francis and Wendy Docherty at Thermotex. Dennis was having success with relieving his aches and pains by using Thermotex’s far infrared heating pads.
I began testing the Thermotex products…and the positive results were amazing!

Every day, I use the Thermotex Professional in my TV chair upstairs, and another Thermotex Professional in my TV chair downstairs. This helps to relieve pain in my lower back, middle back and shoulders. After an evening of watching TV, I feel so relaxed and free of pain…it is so amazing!
I also use a small Thermotex Gold in my car when I am driving for relaxing my lower back. I love this deep heat whenever we are driving on long trips. My back feels as good at the end of the trip as it did at the beginning of the trip. Incredible!
The only problem with Thermotex is that I sometimes struggle getting to use my TV chair upstairs as my wife, Eva, loves using the Thermotex when she is watching her BlueJays play or when Jeopardy is on!
